All you need is love – Hildegard von Bingen would have thought so too

When LGBTQ and Pride were not yet terms, Hildegard von Bingen taught the holistic approach: from love to nature. The polymath dedicated her life to philosophy in addition to exploring a healthy way for people to live and eat: “From the depths to high in the stars, love floods the universe.” Or: “Love is a fire that never goes out.” Hildegard von Bingen (1018-1177).
Our interpretation: love knows no differences.

Colourful as a rainbow is not only our garden, but also our guests. In our daily work we experience the diversity of people. This colourful bouquet of characters makes our job as hosts shine every day. A good start to the new day

On holiday, you can start the day perfectly relaxed and balanced with a morning meditation or a yoga session, in the garden in summer when the weather is good in Tyrol. For the very active morning people, the fully equipped TechnoGym fitness room in our gay-friendly hotel and the surrounding nature are ideal for your own training sessions.

Actively recovered in summer

In addition to our active week programme with meditations, yoga, hikes and body boom, nature offers endless space for sporting activities.

In summer, in addition to our pool, you will find the perfect way to cool off in the surrounding natural swimming lakes of Tyrol, some of which are even located in the forest. In addition to a leisurely walk around the lake and a fresh cool down in the lake, there is also the possibility to try out the popular trend sport stand-up paddling at the Reintalersee or at the Achensee, among others. High up on the mountain in cool air and pleasant temperatures, there is the right hiking route for every taste and condition. Whether you’re a summit storming hiker or prefer to enjoy alpine pastures – over 900 kilometres of marked hiking trails are waiting to be discovered.

Those who prefer to enjoy a ride on two wheels will find plenty of riding fun on the numerous racing bike and mountain bike tours. And with electric assistance on an e-bike, the radius of the alpine pastures and huts to be reached can be extended even further!

Adventure lovers in particular will be rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Alpbachtal region in the high ropes course or on the via ferrata. Those who prefer it wet and wild will discover the unique beauty of Tyrolean nature from a whole new side during rafting or wild water swimming.

Sporty through the winter

In winter you will find varied winter days in one of the best skiing areas in Tyrol. 45 lifts, 113 kilometres of pistes, 2 snow parks, 25 ski huts & mountain restaurants are just some of the highlights that the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau offers with its four mountains, two valleys and an unforgettable skiing experience. In order to reach the magnificent mountain landscape and to be able to do without your own car for a change during your holiday, we offer a free ski shuttle service that takes you directly to the best entry point in just seven minutes. Not a skiing enthusiast? No problem! Countless winter hiking and ski touring routes, several cross-country ski runs and also natural toboggan runs promise a lot of fun. If all this is too much of a sporting challenge, then simply relax in our gay-friendly hotel on the winter terrace, because we are the only hotel that gets sunshine in winter too.
